This is so interesting--thank you so much for compiling this! I wish I had a better idea of what made bottom!Draco so much more popular, especially in the earlier years, but I spent my first 8 or so years in the fandom doing my best to avoid bottom!Draco, so I have no idea what's changed. Like cabinetcaligari I think it's possible that some read the snottier, younger Malfoy as more feminised. Though I also like the explanation that he was out first, which led to Harry topping in first-time scenarios...
